About The Position

The Seasonal Cashier/Sales Floor Associate delivers a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers and following customer experience principles. The associate helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment; follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards; and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes cashiering, processing merchandise for the sales floor, store recovery, and supporting store culture and shrink-reduction goals. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and provide correct change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
