About The Position

The Seasonal Cashier/Sales Associate delivers a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers and following customer experience principles. The role helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment and adheres to operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards. Associates may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position is seasonal and is located at Marshalls Store 0214 in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Starting pay is $16.25–$16.75 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Uphold the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
