About The Position

The Sales Associate works at the Roanoke-Blackburg Regional Airport and provides customer service while supporting store operations. The role includes assisting customers with product selection, operating the cash register, stocking and replenishing merchandise, receiving and handling freight, maintaining inventory, and keeping the store clean and organized. The advertised compensation is $15.00. The position may be full-time or part-time, and the posting specifies a morning shift of 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. while also requiring flexibility to work any shift and any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet customers.
• Communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees, and store management.
• Learn the basic store layout to help customers select products and answer questions about the store.
• Operate a cash register and follow company cash-handling, store, and loss-prevention policies.
• Inform management about pricing, expired-product, inventory, and out-of-stock issues.
• Protect company assets and stock merchandise in the store and backrooms.
• Sort and organize damaged and outdated products and returns, and inform management about out-of-stock situations.
• Keep the store neat, clean, and organized, including sweeping, dusting, straightening merchandise, and removing trash.
• Place stock orders, receive freight, and load and unload trucks.
• Replenish stock on the sales floor.
• Assist with inventory and reconciliation of inventory variances.
• Perform related work as assigned.
