About The Position

In Nordstrom’s Beauty Department, the Seasonal Beauty Sales employee creates personalized beauty experiences for customers and works with a passionate team. The role involves engaging customers to understand their needs and maximizing sales across on-trend and luxury beauty brands. The position focuses on women’s and men’s fragrances in Spokane and may include in-store and digital customer engagement.

Requirements

• Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped merchandise, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers.
• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling, using selling tools including text and social media.
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store beauty events and services.
• Keep the department organized, clean, and customer-ready.
• Stay current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through Nordstrom and brand-partner training.
• Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
