About The Position

In Nordstrom’s Beauty Department, the Seasonal Beauty Sales employee creates personalized beauty experiences and engages customers to understand their needs while maximizing sales of on-trend and luxury beauty brands. The role includes providing beauty services and recommendations, building customer relationships in-store and digitally, and contributing to a welcoming, inclusive team environment. Employees learn about current beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through training provided by Nordstrom and brand partners. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Requirements

Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.
Ability to connect with customers, proactively handle customer concerns, and contribute to a positive team environment.
Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application.
Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills.
Drive to achieve sales goals and interest in using networking and technology.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers.
Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling, using selling tools including text and social media.
Book appointments and drive sales for in-store Beauty events and services.
Keep the department organized, clean, and customer-ready.
Keep up with beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings provided by Nordstrom and brand partners.
Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
