About The Position

In Nordstrom’s Beauty Department, the Seasonal Beauty Sales employee creates personalized beauty experiences and engages customers to understand their needs while maximizing sales in on-trend and luxury beauty brands. The role calls for a passion for beauty trends, makeup, and skincare, and the ability to build a customer following both in-store and digitally. Employees receive training from Nordstrom and brand partners to stay current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
• Set and achieve in-store and digital sales goals using selling tools, including text and social media.
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store Beauty events and services.
• Keep the department organized, clean, and customer-ready.
• Stay current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings provided by Nordstrom and brand partners.
• Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
