About The Position

The Restaurant Bartender serves Neiman Marcus customers in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner consistent with the company’s high standards. The role involves providing gracious customer service, supporting bar operations, maintaining knowledge of food and beverages, processing transactions, and keeping the restaurant and workstation clean and well maintained. The position is seasonal and requires a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Experience serving food and beverages and following proper table-service guidelines.
Ability to work autonomously.
Motivated and results-driven.
Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings, food, and beverages as indicated by kitchen tickets and the guidebook.
Thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology.
Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time.
Exceptional customer-service and problem-solving skills.
A “win together” mentality.
Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry 35 pounds.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve and interact with customers in a professional and gracious manner.
Use knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology to provide detailed information about menu items.
Support smooth staff delivery of bar items using POS and ticket systems.
Apply knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and related technical and service procedures.
Participate in daily pre-shift meetings.
Follow established accounting procedures for transactions, accept authorized payment methods, and maintain knowledge of the POS system.
Clean and maintain the restaurant and workstation, completing assigned pre-shift, post-shift, daily, and weekly duties.
Perform duties that may involve lifting objects such as tables, chairs, and highchairs.
Maintain high hygiene standards, including clean, pressed uniform clothing and professionally styled hair and nails that avoid food-contamination risks.
