About The Position

The Skating Director is responsible for the overall leadership, organization, and operation of the HYCC Skating School Learn to Skate Program. This position oversees all Skating Professionals and ensures that instruction, safety, and program delivery meet or exceed Learn to Skate USA, U.S. Figure Skating (USFS), Professional Skaters Association (PSA), and HYCC standards. The Skating Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising lesson plans while maintaining the philosophies and expectations set forth by the Town of Barnstable.

Requirements

• CPR / First Aid certified
• Membership to Learn to Skate USA as an instructor
• Membership to USFS
• Membership to PSA
• Liability Insurance Certificate
• CER Current Certificates
• Experience supervising activities
• Good positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Overall leadership, organization, and operation of the HYCC Skating School Learn to Skate Program.
• Overseeing all Skating Professionals.
• Ensuring instruction, safety, and program delivery meet or exceed Learn to Skate USA, U.S. Figure Skating (USFS), Professional Skaters Association (PSA), and HYCC standards.
• Developing, implementing, and supervising lesson plans.
