This casual position is responsible for the delivery of a safe and customer focused learn to skate program.

Requirements

Current Intermediate First Aid with CPR- C and AED.
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in hockey, figure skating, power skating etc. or a demonstrated ability to skate at an advanced level.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate program delivery.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organization skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Satisfactory passing of a vulnerable sector check.
Proof of qualifications.

Nice To Haves

Certification in HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Prepare and implement program content based on program objectives outlined by the Town and the certifying agency.
Prepare course facilities, teaching material and equipment including program outlines, lesson plans and material for participants as required.
Provide program instruction/leadership at the appropriate skill level of participants; start and end program on time.
Perform administrative tasks (i.e., attendance, preparation, Injury and Incident Reports etc.).
Perform additional duties and undertake special projects as assigned.
