About The Position

The Seafood Specialist is the store’s point person for seafood department excellence, ensuring product freshness, merchandising accuracy, and compliance with food safety standards. The role supports an exceptional guest experience while maintaining operational integrity through accurate seafood inventory, rotation, presentation, and readiness for promotions and seasonal events. The position also supports front-end operations during peak business times and engages guests on the sales floor.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasp, bend, and reach; lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently; and work in extreme temperatures.
• Ability to spend long periods on one's feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours or as required by law.
• Must wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard and personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seafood products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on seafood ordering and replenishment.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness and follow proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Support compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
