About The Position

The Seafood Specialist is the store’s point person for seafood department excellence. The role ensures product freshness, merchandising accuracy, and compliance with food safety standards while delivering an exceptional guest experience and maintaining operational integrity. Responsibilities include owning seafood inventory accuracy, rotation standards, and presentation, while supporting guest engagement and department readiness for promotions and seasonal events. The position also supports front-end operations during peak business times.

The role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays. Work involves physical activity, extended periods of standing or walking, exposure to extreme temperatures, and use of specified tools and personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seafood products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness and ensure proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Support compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach when on the sales floor.
