About The Position

Anchor is a rapidly growing company that has secured $40M in funding and achieved 500% growth last year by transforming the $74B services payments market with its platform that automates billing and collections. We are seeking an AI-First SDR to join our founding sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for inbound lead qualification, driving outbound pipeline generation, and closing smaller deals, with a clear path to advance into a full-cycle Account Executive position. The core of this role is the "AI-First" mandate, meaning you will leverage AI extensively for research, personalization, prioritization, and outreach, rather than performing these tasks manually. You will orchestrate the sales process, allowing AI to handle the repetitive tasks. We are looking for an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on AI experience, and a deep technical aptitude for configuring and adopting new tools independently. This is a high-energy, fast-paced environment for someone eager to grow.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years in sales development, lead generation, or SDR/BDR roles.
  • AI-first, with demonstrable experience: ability to name AI tools used in sales workflow, describe automated processes, and quantify impact on output; already operating with AI, not just curious.
  • Hunter mentality with proven outbound skills across cold calling, email, and multi-channel engagement.
  • Top performer with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
  • Deeply tech-savvy: ability to configure and adopt tools independently (e.g., HubSpot, Avoma, Intercom, and future tools) without waiting for setup.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: self-disciplined, resourceful, hungry, and treating pipeline as one's own business.
  • Strong communicator capable of building credibility with decision-makers at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, OR 2+ years of practical experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance.

  • Experience with service providers in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, billing, or payments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify inbound leads by conducting discovery calls and prioritizing prospects using AI-driven scoring and routing.
  • Drive outbound pipeline by engaging Anchor's target market through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and AI-powered outreach sequences, demonstrating a hunter mentality.
  • Close smaller opportunities end-to-end as part of a development path toward a full-cycle AE role.
  • Execute an AI-powered sales motion where prospect research is AI-generated, emails are AI-personalized, and call preparation is AI-briefed, utilizing AI to significantly increase hourly output compared to traditional SDRs.
  • Generate leads at events by engaging prospects at conferences and trade shows to convert interest into pipeline.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing on demand generation and with Account Executives on smooth handoffs.
  • Track, analyze, and optimize pipeline management and process improvement using CRM and AI-driven analytics.
