About The Position

This course explores different sculptural strategies that are specifically geared to explorations of the body, including the human and animal forms, fragmented or intact, macro and micro scale. The subject matter can be approached through various strategies, including modelling or assemblage with mixed media, armatures, wax, clay, silicone or resins, etc. Applicants are reminded of the importance of ensuring that ALL prior experience and relevant credentials are reflected in the curriculum vitae. Applicants are asked to provide a visual record of recent works. These documents can be sent electronically to [email protected]. Electronic file sharing links are also accepted. This course will be offered in-person.

Requirements

  • Master of Fine Arts or equivalent.
  • Established reputation and exhibition record in sculpture, installation and interdisciplinary art.
  • Teaching experience at a post-secondary level.

  • Exploration of diverse sculptural strategies centered mainly on the body: human or animal forms, fragmented or intact bodies, macroscopic or microscopic scale.
  • Use of modeling or assembly techniques with various construction materials such as clay, wax, silicone or resin, etc.
