About The Position

This course, Sculpture and Concept (ART2926A), will be offered in person during the Winter 2027 semester in the Department of Visual Arts within the Faculty of Arts. The course examines the relationships among research, idea, language, and object, focusing on conceptual and material-based inquiry and the translation of thought into sculptural form. Students will develop a series of sculptural projects from initial conceptual framework to final elaboration and resolution. A passive knowledge of French is required, and the course will be taught in English and French.

Requirements

Master of Fine Arts or equivalent.
Established reputation in contemporary art.
Teaching experience at post-secondary level.
Passive knowledge of French.
Active competence in a second language (English/French).
Ability to ensure all prior experience and relevant credentials are reflected in the curriculum vitae.
Ability to provide a visual record of recent works.
Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training.
