About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the course "Femmes, genre, féminisme: Une introduction" (FEM1500, Section B) during the 2027 Winter Semester in the Faculty of Social Sciences, specifically within the Institute of Feminist and Gender Studies. The course offers an interdisciplinary approach to women and the intersection of social relations related to gender, race, class, sexuality, and (in)capacities in Canadian and international contexts. It introduces basic conceptual debates in feminist and gender studies and key theoretical feminist currents, aiming to develop critical analysis skills. The course will be offered in person.

Requirements

  • Doctorate preferred.
  • Experience teaching an undergraduate course in Introduction to Women's Studies, Feminist Studies, or Gender Studies preferred.
  • Competence in French is required as the language of instruction is French.
  • Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.

  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities
