EAG Laboratories is seeking a Scientist to join its Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS) group. The role performs thin-film analysis using SIMS and analyzes and tests new and existing materials to determine their properties and characteristics, supporting product development and improvement. The Scientist conducts analytical work independently, applies standard and non-standard methods, interprets findings, and prepares customer reports. The position also involves reviewing other analysts’ reports, evaluating customer requests, determining testing requirements, preparing quotations, and ensuring work meets schedule, budget, and performance requirements. The Scientist may direct phases of revenue-producing projects. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with some flexibility required for occasional evening or weekend work when requested to support operational or business needs. The position is subject to ITAR because it supports companies involved in defense-related activities; accepted applicants must qualify as U.S. Persons under ITAR.
