About The Position

Mad Science of Detroit is hiring a part-time Science Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on science programs for elementary-aged children. Instructors use an easy-to-follow curriculum to guide students through experiments, demonstrations, STEM discoveries, and take-home projects. The role offers opportunities to work at after-school programs, birthday parties, workshops, special events, and other programs. Most instructors work approximately 5–10 hours per week. Training, supplies, and equipment are provided; no science degree or teaching experience is required.

Requirements

Have a fun, outgoing personality and a positive attitude.
Have a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel to program locations.
Have flexible availability for weekday programs, with some additional opportunities on evenings and weekends.
Be reliable, have strong communication skills, and be willing to learn.
Successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities
