About The Position

Johnson College is seeking part-time General Education Science instructors for the spring 2027 semester. Instructors may teach introductory-level physics, chemistry, or general science classes, depending on their experience and departmental needs. Courses may be delivered online asynchronously, in a hybrid format, or face-to-face on the Scranton campus, and are typically scheduled for late afternoons or evenings.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in science education, physics, chemistry, biology, environmental science, engineering, or a related field is required. Applicants with other academic backgrounds may be considered if they have relevant teaching or professional experience.
• Enthusiasm for teaching foundational science concepts to diverse learners is essential.

Nice To Haves

• Previous post-secondary teaching experience.
