About the position
The job overview for this role is that Khan Academy is seeking a science content creator to lead their biology efforts in creating syllabus-aligned videos and practice questions for grades 9-12. The content creator will collaborate with state teachers, continuously improve content based on feedback, and analyze content usage metrics to optimize the content strategy. The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of experience in teaching and creating educational content for NCERT biology, along with impeccable written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Create syllabus-aligned content plans for biology
- Review existing content and make necessary revisions
- Create practice questions for biology
- Support video creation by collaborating with the in-house video creator and reviewing videos
- Collaborate with state teachers to create project plans aligned with their curriculum
- Stay up-to-date with the state's academic plans and incorporate ongoing needs during the academic year
- Conduct workshops and gather feedback on content
- Continuously iterate and improve content based on feedback received
- Analyze content usage metrics to identify areas of improvement and optimize content strategy
- Willingness to travel (usually once in two months, for about 2 to 3 days)
- Have a combined 4+ years of experience in teaching and creating educational content for NCERT biology
- Possess impeccable written communication skills
- Be a quick learner and adaptable to working with different subject leads
