About The Position

Per Mar Security Services is seeking an entry-level or experienced School Security Site Supervisor for the North Suburbs of Illinois. The supervisor will help enforce company and client policies, communicate daily with the client and Operations Manager, and help fill open shifts. The role also includes security officer duties such as controlling visitor access, issuing badges, providing escorts, maintaining visitor logs and reports, conducting foot patrols, responding to alarms and emergencies, and reporting safety hazards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a state security officer license, a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and supervisor experience. A Permanent Employee Registration Card and 20-hour basic training are listed as certification requirements. Pay is $18–$23 per hour. This is a full-time position with first shift, second shift, school-hours, weekend, and summer scheduling listed.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Previous supervisor experience is required.
High school diploma or GED.
State Security Officer License.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Permanent Employee Registration Card.
20-hour basic training.
Must pass or submit to a background check.
Strong communication with operations and the client.
Must demonstrate integrity, communication, excellent service, and accountability.

Responsibilities

Adhere to and enforce Per Mar Security Services and client policies and procedures.
Communicate with the client and Operations Manager daily.
Help fill open shifts and work additional hours when necessary.
Stand guard at the security officer post, direct visitors, issue access badges, and provide escorts as needed.
Log visitor data and other basic reports in the security computer system.
Conduct foot patrols in accordance with post orders.
Respond to alarms and emergencies as directed in post orders.
Identify and report potential safety hazards.
Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment and follow applicable PPE procedures.
Perform client site-specific duties as outlined in post orders.
Act lawfully, ethically, honestly, and professionally, and comply with company policies and procedures.
Understand and comply with attendance expectations.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere through respectful interactions with internal and external customers, colleagues, and management.
