About The Position

Per Mar Security Services is seeking Logistics Security Officers to safeguard a client’s premises while providing customer service. This unarmed position is not authorized to carry weapons, ammunition, or other protective gear and devices. Officers work in a retail setting as gate attendants, directing visitors, issuing access badges, and providing escorts as necessary. The position is located in Lockport, Illinois, and pays $16.72 per hour. Full-time and part-time openings are available on the second shift, including weekends.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
State Security Officer License.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Permanent Employee Registration Card.
20-hour basic training.
Must possess integrity, communication, excellent service, and accountability.

Nice To Haves

Technical training or college education in a related field.
Previous experience as a security officer.

Responsibilities

Direct visitors in a retail setting, issue access badges, and provide escorts as necessary.
Log visitor data and other basic reports in the security computer system.
Conduct foot patrols in accordance with post orders.
Respond to alarms and emergencies as directed in post orders.
Look for and report potential safety hazards.
Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment as outlined for the position and follow PPE policies and procedures.
Follow client site-specific duties as required and outlined in post orders.
Work additional hours when necessary to fill open shifts.
Follow ethical business conduct and compliance standards, company policies, and procedures.
Understand and comply with attendance expectations.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interact respectfully with internal and external customers.
