About The Position

Per Mar Security Services is hiring a Logistics Security Officer to safeguard a client’s premises and provide customer service in a retail setting. The role is unarmed and does not authorize carrying weapons, ammunition, or other protective gear and devices. The officer directs visitors, issues access badges, provides escorts, patrols the facility, and performs other duties specified in post orders. Pay is $18.54. The position is full-time, third shift, and includes weekends. Additional hours may be needed to fill open shifts. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
State Security Officer License.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Permanent Employee Registration Card.
20-hour basic training.

Nice To Haves

Technical training or college education in a related field.
Previous experience as a security officer.

Responsibilities

Stand guard in a retail setting, direct visitors, issue access badges, and provide escorts as necessary.
Log visitor data and other basic reports in the security computer system.
Conduct foot patrols in accordance with post orders.
Respond to alarms and emergencies as directed in post orders.
Look for and report potential safety hazards.
Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow applicable PPE policies and procedures.
Follow client site-specific duties outlined in post orders.
Work additional hours when necessary to fill open shifts.
Conduct job duties lawfully, ethically, honestly, and professionally, and comply with company policies and procedures.
Understand and comply with attendance expectations.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere through interactions with internal and external customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, supervisors, and management.
