About The Position

The T.E.A. Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking School Facilities & Grounds Assistant / Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our children, families, and staff. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys keeping spaces organized and well-maintained, and wants to contribute to a positive learning environment.

Requirements

• Previous custodial, janitorial, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and empty trash throughout the school.
• Maintain outdoor play areas, sidewalks, and school grounds.
• Assist with minor repairs, basic maintenance, and facility upkeep.
• Set up and clean up for school events and activities as needed.
• Monitor and restock cleaning and restroom supplies.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to management.
