About The Position

The T.E.A. Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking School Facilities & Grounds Assistant / Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff at its growing child care center. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing indoor spaces, maintaining outdoor play areas and grounds, assisting with basic maintenance, and supporting school events. The position contributes to a safe and healthy learning environment.

Requirements

• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

• Previous custodial, janitorial, maintenance, or facilities experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and empty trash throughout the school.
• Maintain outdoor play areas, sidewalks, and school grounds.
• Assist with minor repairs, basic maintenance, and facility upkeep.
• Set up and clean up for school events and activities as needed.
• Monitor and restock cleaning and restroom supplies.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Promptly report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
