Performs a variety of skilled and unskilled tasks in the custodial care and maintenance of all City buildings. Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school graduation or GED equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of custodial equipment, materials, and supplies, and their proper and safe usage.
- Working knowledge of minor repair techniques and occupational safety practices.
- Skill in operating and maintaining custodial machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to follow instructions, policies, and procedures accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercising sound judgment.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships and adapt to changing environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- CDL certification.
- Applicants are subject to a nicotine test in the final step of the hiring process; applicants who test positive for nicotine from tobacco use may reapply after six months.
