About The Position

Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Facilities Custodian to maintain clean, safe, and organized facilities at its Tempe and Glendale locations. The role covers routine cleaning and sanitation, supply management, light maintenance, and general upkeep of office, shop, break room, restroom, common, and exterior areas. The custodian works independently while supporting the needs of both locations and travels between them as needed.

The position requires following company safety policies, using cleaning products and equipment safely, and maintaining positive working relationships with employees and visitors. It is designated Safety Sensitive. Requirements

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between the Tempe and Glendale locations.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
• Ability to safely use common cleaning equipment and products.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to work effectively with employees across the organization.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous janitorial, custodial, facilities, grounds, or maintenance experience.
• Experience working in an office, construction, industrial, or commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, common areas, and other facility spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and other surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed.
• Restock restroom, break room, and cleaning supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of doors, windows, fixtures, furniture, and other facility surfaces.
• Keep storage and supply areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Perform light maintenance and report facility issues requiring additional attention.
• Maintain clean and safe exterior areas, including sidewalks, entrances, and surrounding areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products safely and properly.
• Travel between the Tempe and Glendale locations as needed.
• Maintain positive working relationships with employees and visitors.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the ongoing needs of IPS.
