About The Position
Krapf Bus is seeking school bus drivers and traveling licensed substitute bus drivers for schools in the Hampton, New Jersey area. The role offers a split, part-time schedule of 20–25 hours per week, with guaranteed 4–5 hours per day, for approximately 9.5 months (38 weeks) of the year. Summer work may be available, and drivers can sign up for additional hours for sports, trips, extended programs, or summer programs. Eligible drivers may apply for unemployment during the summer if they do not work. No prior experience is required. Krapf provides paid training and covers the cost of obtaining permits and a Commercial Driver License. Advancement opportunities include full-time trainer, dispatcher, and operations manager positions. Health insurance benefits may be available to employees averaging at least 130 hours per month over a year through additional driving opportunities. A limited-time $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered to fully licensed school bus drivers who hold a valid CDL with both S and P endorsements. Bonus payments are subject to applicable taxes and additional terms may apply. Applicants for the specified routes must be able to work Monday through Friday and cover both AM and PM routes for Washington and Phillipsburg. Requirements
- Have held a valid driver's license for at least one year.
- Be able to pass a background check.
- No prior bus-driving experience is required; paid CDL training is provided.
- To qualify for the limited-time $5,000 sign-on bonus, hold a valid CDL with both S and P endorsements.
