About The Position

Krapf School Bus is seeking school bus drivers and traveling licensed substitute bus drivers for schools in the Hampton, New Jersey area. The role offers a split, part-time schedule of 20–25 hours per week, with guaranteed 4–5 hours per day, for approximately 9.5 months (38 weeks) of the year. Summer work may be available, and drivers can sign up for additional hours for sports, trips, and extended or summer programs. Applicants for the limited-time $2,500 sign-on bonus must be fully licensed school bus drivers with a valid CDL and both S and P endorsements, and must be able to work Monday through Friday covering both AM and PM routes for Flemington, Raritan, and Montgomery. Bonuses are subject to applicable taxes and additional terms may apply. No prior bus-driving experience is required for the broader driver opportunities. Krapf provides paid CDL training and covers the cost of obtaining permits and a CDL. Drivers may have opportunities to advance to full-time trainer, dispatcher, or operations manager roles. Employees who average at least 130 hours per month over a year may qualify for health insurance benefits. Summer unemployment benefits may be available to eligible employees who do not work during the summer.

Requirements

For the $2,500 sign-on bonus, hold a valid CDL with both S and P endorsements and be a fully licensed school bus driver.
Be able to work Monday through Friday and cover both AM and PM routes for Flemington, Raritan, and Montgomery for the bonus opportunity.
For the broader driver opportunities, have held a valid driver's license for at least one year.
Be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Drive school bus routes, including AM and PM routes when required.
Work a split schedule Monday through Friday.
Cover routes for schools in the Hampton, New Jersey area; eligible fully licensed applicants for the sign-on bonus must cover routes in Flemington, Raritan, and Montgomery.
