About The Position

School-Based Case Manager (High School Focus) Shape the Future, One Student at a Time. Adolescent support changes lives. We are looking for a dedicated Case Manager to join our team at McPherson High School. In this role, you will support high school students (ages 14–18) by providing community-based mental health services that focus on youth strengths, life-skills development, emotional regulation, and preparing for adulthood.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or a related field.
• An understanding of typical vs. atypical child development for early childhood/elementary ages.
• The physical ability to engage in activities with children (bending, kneeling, and squatting).
• Proficiency in documentation and keyboarding (maintaining records is key to our success!).
• A valid Kansas Driver’s License and the ability to pass required KBI and DCF background checks.

Responsibilities

• Help students and their families identify their strengths to improve self-esteem, coping mechanisms, and behavioral outcomes.
• Provide skill-building training to help students navigate peer dynamics, manage stress, build independence, and establish healthy routines.
• Be a steady support during a crisis and an active advocate for the student’s mental health needs within the school system.
• Work closely with a qualified mental health provider to implement and track progress on individual treatment plans.
