About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our After School Program at Croydon Village School for the 2026–2027 school year. This position is part-time and follows the school calendar, with afternoon hours from 2:15 pm to 5:30 pm. The role is ideal for individuals who love working with children, possess energy, kindness, and patience, and enjoy encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The ideal candidate works well with teammates, communicates effectively with families, and is reliable, organized, and committed to providing exceptional care.

Requirements

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
• Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
