About The Position

Performs scheduling and coordinates simple and complex patient appointments for the Radiology Communication department’s clinics, both in person and over the telephone using an automated patient scheduling system. The role triages patient problems, schedules related tests and procedures, and provides appropriate patient instructions. The Scheduling Specialist II communicates effectively and competently to support positive outcomes in person and by phone, and develops collaborative relationships with peers, patients, providers, and visitors. This is a per diem bargaining union position with no committed hours and no benefits eligibility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of experience as a Scheduling Specialist I.
• Ability to communicate effectively and competently in person and by telephone.
