About The Position

The Scheduler supports the care team at Sovah Heart & Vascular in Danville, Virginia, by coordinating patient appointments and testing. The role ensures patient demographic and insurance information is accurate, communicates appointment instructions and documentation needs, secures physician orders and insurance authorizations or pre-certifications, and reviews daily schedule reports. The position is full time on weekdays and is performed in person.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong customer service, organization, and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior scheduling experience in a healthcare setting.
• Medical terminology, billing, and/or collection experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and testing.
• Ensure patient demographic and insurance verification information is complete and accurate.
• Communicate special instructions, required tests, and other relevant documents to patients or physician office staff before appointments.
• Secure physician orders and obtain necessary insurance authorizations or pre-certifications.
• Review and monitor daily schedule reports.
