Scheduler IV
About The Position
The Scheduler IV will coordinate the preparation of project schedules based on defined project execution philosophies. This role involves performing contractor schedule reviews for contract conformance and quality assurance, evaluating contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedule, and performing time impact analysis of project schedule delays and potential claims. The position also requires participation in change order negotiations, performing Critical Path and Earned Value analyses, and identifying schedule-related problems during project execution, recommending corrective actions and solutions. Responsibilities include conducting construction/project site visits for progress reporting, reviewing contractor's weekly and monthly schedule progress, preparing narrative findings, and presenting them to management. The role also involves reviewing and evaluating contractor recovery schedules, performing cost analysis for capital projects, analyzing actual expenditures versus budget performance, and preparing cost-loaded schedules for cash flow projections. The Scheduler IV must understand, interpret, and apply contracts, policies, and procedures, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in project or program scheduling on large construction programs
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or other related field. Additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- Advanced proficiency in specified software including, but not limited to, Primavera Scheduling Software, MS Office Applications including Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of theories, principles and practices of cost engineering and scheduling
- Experience with time impact analysis
- Experience with construction claims and change orders
- Flexibility in schedule and transportation to work at multiple sites/locations based on assigned schedule and duties

- Understand, interpret and apply contracts, policies and procedures within guidelines
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
