About The Position

The Scanning Clerk tests, verifies, and scans UPC-marked items throughout the store on a rotation basis, with frequent price verification of direct-store delivery items. The role ensures price changes are reflected accurately on items, shelf tags, and in-store signs, and that in-store price markings correspond exactly with the price file. The clerk monitors pricing for errors and ensures corrections are made promptly, maintains productivity standards and department records, and updates price books weekly. The position also involves helping guests locate products and answering inquiries in a friendly, professional manner, and attending departmental, store, and company meetings as required. The minimum age is 18 years.

Responsibilities

Monitor pricing for errors and ensure errors are corrected immediately.
Contribute to store profits and revenues.
Maintain productivity standards according to company guidelines.
Maintain adequate and appropriate department records.
Update price books weekly for all price changes.
Know product and department locations and assist guests with inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
Attend departmental, store, and company meetings as required.
