Scanner Associate
About The Position
MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products and sells the items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanner Associate works on the Scan Team, using proprietary software to scan and upload product information accurately into the auction portal. This position reports to the Scan Team Lead. The role is full-time, hourly, and non-exempt. Work is on-site, generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with schedules varying by location and workload. Shifts are eight hours with a 30-minute lunch break; hours are determined by workload and management.
Requirements
- Be available to work on-site, generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; schedules may vary by location and workload.
- Be able to lift 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with a team lift.
- Be comfortable using web- and browser-based software, such as Google and Amazon.
- Be able to stand and walk for hours at a time.
- Be tech-savvy.
- Be able to follow written directions and company policies.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Scan items quickly and thoroughly into the system to create online auction listings.
- Search for products online.
- Take screenshots and crop photos for online listings.
- Correct and complete information for each item.
- Meet quantity and quality goals.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
