About The Position

The Scan Coordinator maintains overall price integrity in the store. The role involves making and verifying price changes and signage, supporting compliance with company and government regulations, and working quickly and accurately in a fast-paced retail environment. The position also involves interacting positively with customers, employees, and vendors and supporting a positive shopping experience.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent, and 1–3 months of related experience and/or training, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to understand and effectively use billing and accounting principles and processes.
Excellent mathematical skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Outgoing, friendly behavior, a positive attitude, and ability to interact with customers, employees, and vendors.
Ability to work varied hours and days as business dictates.
Ability to read price tags; create and post signs and price tags; staple; scan; use a computer to activate new pricing; and use a step ladder. Good vision is required to read and set signs.
Ability to vertically and horizontally transfer boxes weighing up to 17 pounds from 1 to 34 inches, up to 8 feet, for up to 1 hour.
Ability to walk up to 4 miles per 8 hours.
Ability to perform repetitive crouching, kneeling, and squatting to access a point 6 inches from the ground for up to 50 hours.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly price changes, including changing shelf signs, tags, and promotional signs.
Verify weekly ad price changes, promotional price accuracy, and pricing signage in all departments.
Ensure compliance with company and governmental compliance regulations.
Work quickly and accurately to support pricing integrity in the store.
Maintain necessary reports and schedules and analyze total scanning programs.
