About The Position

The Mobile Scale Clerk operates the scale for loaded trucks leaving the facility, ensuring trucks are safe and within weight restrictions and that customer tickets and inventory levels are correct. The role also supports customer service, ticketing and billing, vendor and truck setup, cash handling, site safety documentation, inventory coordination, and general office and site support. The position includes assisting with dispatching and sales office functions, delivering parts, tickets, and supplies to sites, and supporting field technicians and sales field staff as needed. The work environment ranges from an office to outdoor operating sites with construction equipment, varying noise and vibration, building materials, dust, and dirt. The role requires working in extreme heat and cold and occasionally in wet, muddy, or slippery conditions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Microsoft Office Applications experience required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Must be drug free.
Ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds from floor to 3–5 feet occasionally, and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds frequently.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, with occasional sitting.
Ability to climb up and down ladders occasionally.
Ability to use hands, fingers, and feet to operate heavy construction machinery.
Ability to travel safely on foot and while operating machinery over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
Ability to see, hear, and respond to verbal, visual, and written instructions and to moving heavy construction machinery.
Ability to wear required protective equipment, including a hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility clothing, steel-toed boots, and gloves.
Must observe company safety policies on company premises and while operating heavy construction machinery.
Ability to work continually in extreme hot and cold weather and occasionally in wet, muddy, and slippery conditions.

Nice To Haves

One year of relevant office administration experience preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate the weight station scale and ticket trucks to ensure they leave the facility at a safe and legal weight.
Generate sales tickets, set up jobs in the tracking system, and respond to customer inquiries about available products and prices.
Transmit tickets to corporate daily for billing using Integra and Paperstream software, and send hard-copy tickets to corporate at month-end.
Set up trucking vendors and enter new trucks into the computer for ticketing.
Coordinate daily with the Operations Manager and loader operator regarding material inventories.
Receive, annotate, and process payments for COD accounts; maintain records of daily cash accounts and prepare the daily deposit.
Balance and handle the petty cash box daily.
Assist field technicians with bi-annual material sampling.
Ensure site visitors receive and have documented Site-Specific Safety Training, and notify appropriate site personnel when visitors arrive.
Maintain MSHA documentation files needed for inspections.
Order PPE and office supplies.
Maintain a neat and orderly work environment, including cleaning the scale house, sweeping floors, taking out trash, and cleaning restrooms.
Assist with daily dispatching.
Pick up, confirm, and deliver parts to sites as needed.
Fill in for sales office functions, including handwritten tickets, dispatching, tracking trucks, and assisting with vendor invoices.
Support Sales Field Technicians on large projects by coordinating with truck vendors and clarifying directions, coordinates, truck counts, and customer information.
Deliver tickets and supplies to open scale locations as needed and bring collected tickets to Accounts Receivable.
Follow company policies and the Permian Basin Materials Code of Conduct, and work cooperatively or independently as directed.
Perform other duties as directed.
