About The Position

The Scale House Operator performs grain receiving and shipping transactions, supports customer relations and grain procurement with the Grain Merchant, and assists the Administration Manager with projects and tasks. The role also supports inbound and outbound grain, chemical deliveries, co-product transactions, and logistics for inbound grain. It requires accurate and timely truck weighing and grading, toxin lab testing on inbound corn, customer service, and compliance with food safety regulations and company policies. The employee may perform other related duties as needed to meet the organization’s ongoing needs.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a grain grader’s license.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Word and Excel.
• High school diploma.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, including communicating with truck drivers and office personnel.
• Attention to detail and ability to self-check work for accuracy, clarity, and thoroughness.
• Organizational skills to meet deadlines promptly.
• Ability to arrive at work on time.
• Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and up to 5 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Frequent moderate lifting, pulling, pushing, climbing, and carrying.
• Ability to perform simple and firm grasping and some fine manipulation.
• Ability to be on one’s feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Assist with all inbound and outbound grain functions.
• Assist with chemical deliveries.
• Assist with inbound and outbound co-product functions.
• Assist with logistics for inbound grain.
• Answer inbound customer calls.
• Multitask while assisting several customers.
• Perform other tasks as needed.
• Follow food safety regulations and company policies to protect food-grade production processes.
• Weigh trucks accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow corporate guidelines and policies.
• Uphold the integrity of Three Rivers Energy LLC.
• Work professionally and respectfully with employees and vendors.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Make guests feel welcome.
• Accurately grade incoming and outgoing samples.
• Weigh in and out byproduct and chemical trucks.
• Perform toxin lab testing on inbound corn.
