About The Position

The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Scale Clerk at its Levy Brandenburg Mill Service location in Brandenburg, Kentucky. The Scale Clerk weighs trucks and performs basic recordkeeping and customer service functions. Pay starts at $17.00 per hour, based on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of scale operations.
• Good organizational, decision-making, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, individually and in group settings.
• Willingness and ability to travel locally and work in a construction environment.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of local geography, truck routes, and weight laws; training may be provided.
• Knowledge of Command and Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Weigh incoming and outgoing trucks while adhering to state weight restrictions.
• Communicate effectively over CB radio and handheld two-way radio.
• Provide customer service by telephone, radio, email, face to face, or other means.
• Give customers and drivers directions and assistance.
• Process paperwork, enter information, and create standardized reports.
• Support site time and attendance tracking and mobile equipment fuel and hour reporting.
• Handle cash sales.
• Keep the work area clean and tidy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
