About The Position

Toyota’s OneTech Business Technology Platform Department is seeking a highly motivated SAP Techno/functional Senior Analyst to own functional and technical SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) delivery and support for Toyota North America SAP initiatives. Reporting to the Product Manager, SAP HANA Applications, this role provides hands-on functional and technical design expertise in complex enterprise system environments, supports business initiatives, and works effectively in a fast-paced team atmosphere. The role works closely with Finance, Accounting, and Tax stakeholders to improve and implement SAP FICO and Tax configurations and processes. It also manages the Tax application from a Product Owner perspective, addresses integration gaps between Toyota’s SAP landscape and Vertex systems, coordinates issue resolution with Toyota’s AMS provider, and leads support and enhancement pack activities while promoting SAP Finance and Accounting best practices. The position establishes and tracks project and operations KPIs, communicates delivery status and risks, and supports team goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.
At least 6 years of hands-on experience with SAP FICO configuration.
Experience monitoring and reviewing Vendor Recon configurations and enhancements.
Experience with 3–4 full life-cycle SAP implementations in hands-on and lead capacities, covering design, build, testing, and support; at least one implementation must include tax setup.
At least 6 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting integrated applications.
5–8 years of experience with Support Packs, Enhancement Packs, and version upgrades.
Experience with FI/CO integration to other SAP modules.
Ability to troubleshoot issues, write functional specifications, and work with developers on reports, interfaces, enhancements, and Fiori apps, including SAP tax reporting.
Understanding of month-end and year-end close and financial reporting.

Nice To Haves

SAP tax configuration experience.
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.
SAP or Vertex certification.
Experience with Vertex O Series.
Hands-on experience with Vertex reporting needs.
Ability to work with large, distributed onshore and offshore teams with diverse competencies, skills, and abilities.
Ability to work at a fast pace under high pressure.
Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong business process knowledge.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Tax stakeholders to understand processes, identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, and analyze, redesign, and implement FICO and Tax configurations and processes.
Manage the Tax application from a Product Owner perspective.
Troubleshoot and identify gaps in integration points between Toyota’s SAP landscape and Vertex systems.
Work with Toyota’s AMS provider to prioritize and resolve issues.
Lead and assess required support packs and enhancement packs, ensuring processes adhere to SAP Finance and Accounting best practices.
Establish project and operations KPIs, measure plan versus actual performance, and develop improvement plans.
Communicate accurate status of deliverables, SLAs, risks, and issues.
Stay current on future strategic directions and support coworkers in meeting additional team goals.
