SAP Smartfield Senior Manager - CMT / Cross
About The Position
Accenture is seeking an SAP Smartfield Senior Manager and subject matter advisor for SAP upgrades, migrations, and conversions. The role helps clients plan and deliver complex transformation journeys, particularly transitions from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, and aligns technology with business strategy. The advisor works with clients, account teams, vendors, and internal delivery teams, contributing technical and architectural expertise across both sales pursuits and delivery. The role represents the Smartfield team in pursuits and supports solution development through storytelling, collateral, coordination of subject-matter experts, and standardization. It also contributes to migration planning, leads architecture design and technical troubleshooting, and facilitates client meetings and workshops to present migration or conversion plans. Travel may be required, varying from 0% to 100% based on business and client needs.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience.
- At least 5 years of advisory experience with ECC to S/4HANA upgrades, including Brownfield, Hybrid, and Greenfield approaches.
- Experience leading or actively participating in at least two ECC to S/4HANA upgrade programs.
- At least 1 year of experience with SAP RISE and related technologies.
- At least 2 years of experience managing sales opportunities in close collaboration with client and account teams.
- At least 2 years of experience with additional SAP technology tasks, including downtime optimization approaches such as Near Zero Downtime (nZDT) or Downtime Optimization Conversion (DOC); reviewing SAP Readiness or SI Check reports; selective Data Transition methods and offerings (SAP DMLT/SDT, SNP Bluefield, CBS, etc.); SAP on hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, GCP); and custom code remediation and clean-core approaches.
- Experience supporting CMT industry clients.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (12 years); alternatively, an associate degree with 6 years of work experience.

- Experience with project delivery leveraging AI technologies.
- Experience migrating SAP PI/PO middleware to BTP IS.
Responsibilities
- Represent the Smartfield team and be accountable to the overall Smartfield Pursuit Lead for delivering the solution.
- Support pursuits through storytelling, collateral, pursuit coordination, identification of cross-tower subject-matter experts, and standardization of the solutioning cycle.
- Contribute to the overall migration plan from a technical and architectural perspective.
- Lead high-level and low-level architecture design.
- Lead technical and architectural challenge resolution and troubleshooting on projects.
- Participate in technical architecture and design discussions with clients and vendors.
- Engage clients in migration and conversion meetings and workshops, and present migration and conversion plans.
- Coordinate and collaborate across different towers and work closely with other vendors and partners.
- Coordinate internally with account leadership, the QA Director, and other stakeholders.
- Help clients plan their overall upgrade and transformation journey.
