SAP Smartfield Senior Manager - Products/Industrial
About The Position
Accenture is seeking an SAP Smartfield (upgrades, migrations, and conversions) Subject Matter Advisor for the Products/Industrial industry. The role advises clients and account teams on planning and delivering complex SAP transformation journeys, particularly transitions to S/4HANA. It combines technical architecture expertise with client engagement, sales pursuit support, and delivery leadership. The advisor gathers requirements and recommends technology practices that align with business goals, serving as an internal and external expert in technical, functional, industry, domain, or service-offering matters. The role represents the Smartfield team in pursuits and solution delivery, contributes to migration planning and architecture design, and leads technical troubleshooting and client workshops. It coordinates across internal teams, business towers, clients, and vendors. Travel may be required and can range from 0% to 100%, depending on business and client needs.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience.
- At least 5 years of advisory experience with ECC-to-S/4HANA upgrades, including Brownfield, Hybrid, and Greenfield approaches.
- At least 1 year of experience with SAP RISE and related technologies.
- Experience leading or actively participating in at least 2 ECC-to-S/4HANA upgrade programs.
- At least 2 years of experience with additional SAP technology work, including downtime optimization approaches such as Near Zero Downtime (nZDT) or Downtime Optimization Conversion (DOC), reviewing SAP Readiness or SI Check reports, selective data transition (SAP DMLT/SDT, SNP Bluefield, CBS, etc.), SAP on hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, GCP), and custom-code remediation and clean-core approaches.
- At least 2 years of experience managing sales opportunities while working closely with client and account teams.
- Experience supporting Products/Industrial industry clients.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (12 years of work experience); alternatively, an associate degree with 6 years of work experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with project delivery leveraging AI technologies.
- Experience migrating SAP PI/PO middleware to BTP IS.
Responsibilities
- Represent the Smartfield team and be accountable to the Smartfield Pursuit Lead for delivering the solution.
- Support pursuits through storytelling, collateral development, pursuit coordination, identifying cross-tower subject matter experts, and standardizing the solutioning cycle.
- Contribute to the overall migration plan from a technical and architecture perspective.
- Lead high-level and low-level architecture design.
- Lead technical and architectural troubleshooting in projects and identify appropriate solutions.
- Participate in technical architecture and design discussions with clients and vendors.
- Lead client migration and conversion meetings and workshops, and present the migration or conversion plan.
- Coordinate and collaborate across different towers and work with other vendors and partners.
- Coordinate internally with account leadership, the QA Director, and other stakeholders.
- Help clients plan their overall upgrade and transformation journey.
