About The Position

The Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance Functional Expert serves as the primary functional expert for Finance-related SAP solutions. The role leads requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support across Finance processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, costing, controlling, treasury, planning, and reporting.

The position optimizes and integrates SAP S/4HANA Finance with upstream and downstream processes and modules, including procurement, order-to-cash, supply chain, materials management, plant maintenance, manufacturing, inventory, logistics, and sales. It also drives Finance master data governance, transactional data management, and system and process enhancements, while supporting SAP Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Joule AI, and Microsoft Copilot initiatives.

Responsibilities include production support, incident and change management, documentation, training, and continuous process improvement. The expert collaborates with business, IT, integration, application management services, and audit teams. This is a 100% onsite position in Saginaw/Hemlock, Michigan.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of hands-on SAP Finance functional experience, including configuration, implementation, and support.
• At least 5 years of direct Finance business process experience within SAP S/4HANA Finance, including GL, AP, AR, AA, CO, treasury, FP&A, and reporting.
• Deep SAP S/4HANA Finance configuration skills covering organizational structure, master data, business rules, controls, workflows, and reporting.
• Strong SAP integration knowledge with procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, inventory, plant maintenance, logistics, and sales.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, functional and technical documentation, and testing.
• Experience with SAP master data governance, transactional data management, testing, change and release management, and production support.
• Working knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), embedded analytics, Microsoft 365, and Copilot.
• Exposure to SAP Security, GRC, segregation of duties (SoD), transport, and ITIL processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in chemicals or process manufacturing environments.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
• Experience with SAP Central Finance, OneStream, or advanced Planning & Consolidation.
• Involvement in SAP S/4HANA transformation or deployment projects.
• Experience with AI-enabled solutions, including SAP Joule, automation, or process mining.

• Drive SAP Finance master data governance, transactional data management, and system and process enhancements.
• Support and enhance SAP Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Joule AI, and Microsoft Copilot initiatives.
• Provide production support and handle incident and change management.
• Create documentation and training, and support continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with business, IT, integration, AMS, and audit teams.
• Support testing, change and release management, and production support processes.
