About The Position

CGI is seeking an Advanced SAP PPS Functional Consultant with experience in SAP SRM or Ariba Procurement for the Public Sector (PPS) module. The consultant will work with clients on Request to Procure (R2P) and Procure to Pay (P2P) processes in the federal government, leading workshops, gathering requirements, designing and presenting solutions, configuring SAP, and supporting full lifecycle implementations. The role emphasizes SAP PPS design, configuration, and testing, and offers the opportunity to mentor an agile team. A strong understanding of SAP Federal Financial Accounting processes is required. The position is based in CGI’s Fairfax, Virginia office. A hybrid work arrangement is acceptable, with a requirement to work in the Fairfax office at least two days per week. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must pass CGI’s background check and be able to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship and successful completion of CGI’s background check before beginning work.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 8 years of SAP consulting experience in materials management or procurement.
Expertise in financial management best practices, including demonstrations, test scripts, and design documents.
Strong experience configuring and implementing PPS.
Knowledge of federal procurement regulations and processes, including FAR, request packages, and requisition types.
Understanding of key integration points across SAP modules.
Excellent teamwork, facilitation, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
Strong understanding of SAP Federal Financial Accounting processes.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
Experience with end-to-end SAP implementations.
SAP S/4HANA certification.
Integration experience with SAP MM, SRM, PS, and FM.
Experience with SAP SRM or Ariba Procurement for the Public Sector (PPS) module.

Responsibilities

Lead requirements gathering, solution design, and SAP PPS configuration to improve business functionality and client satisfaction.
Facilitate workshops, translate business requirements into system requirements, identify gaps, and propose solutions across financial management, procurement, and asset management.
Act as the client liaison for troubleshooting, analysis, and problem resolution, recommending product modifications when needed.
Design, configure, and test PPS in SAP S/4HANA to support R2P and P2P teams.
Create Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and support Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and future-state process designs.
Provide functional expertise, guidance, and instruction on SAP S/4HANA during implementation.
Mentor an agile team supporting R2P and P2P.
