About The Position

ZenPoint Solutions LLC is seeking a technically inclined Scrum Master II to lead and coach engineering and software development teams. The role requires 5+ years of experience with Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum and Kanban. The Scrum Master facilitates ceremonies across both frameworks, removes impediments, bridges technical teams and business stakeholders, and supports adherence to Agile principles, continuous flow, and engineering best practices. The position is based in Washington, DC, with a hybrid schedule of two days onsite and three days remote per week. Candidates must be able to adapt to changing onsite requirements based on customer and project needs. The role requires a Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance, and U.S. citizenship with proof of citizenship if selected.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship; selected candidates must present proof of citizenship.
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, or equivalent work experience, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master on technical, software development, or engineering projects.
Well versed in project management and familiar with IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and software development lifecycles.
Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools such as Jira or Rally.
Understanding and experience with Agile methodologies, including both Scrum and Kanban.
Leadership skills and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven experience coaching and mentoring others.
Experience working in an IT environment and ability to participate actively in technical discussions.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics to management and business stakeholders.
Experience developing technical briefs and presenting at the executive level.
Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with analytics platform tools, including data ingestion, storage, analytics, and visualization tools.
Experience coaching Agile teams in adopting and improving Agile tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing processes.
Certifications such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, and/or Project Management Professional, including CSM, PSM I/II, or PMI-ACP.
Technical background as a former developer, QA engineer, or systems analyst.
Ability to manage shifting priorities.
White-glove customer service skills and a strong commitment to end-user customer service.
Ability to navigate changing priorities, customer demands, and demanding schedules.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Agile ceremonies across Scrum and Kanban frameworks, including standups, planning, retrospectives, and reviews, ensuring work is defined, understood, and delivered.
Collaborate with product team members to create and manage backlog items, prioritizing technical dependencies and technical debt.
Manage requirements and create user stories with input from technical team members, customers, and partner teams, translating complex technical needs into actionable tasks.
Guide and mentor team members in using Microsoft Azure DevOps and/or Jira for planning and tracking work, CI/CD pipeline visibility, and continuous flow.
Coordinate with Department security and governance boards to ensure compliance with standards and mandates.
Coordinate across partner Agile teams, working with other Scrum Masters and development teams to manage dependencies.
Track delivery and implementation tasks and ensure operations, security protocols, and compliance procedures are followed.
Take responsibility for the quality, content, and timely delivery of project tasks and contractual deliverables.
Promote continuous improvement and recommend delivery-practice adjustments, particularly for DevSecOps, automation, and workflow optimization.
Identify, communicate, and escalate technical and project risks, tracking them toward resolution with stakeholders.
Collaborate with the Product Owner and Product Team to maintain cohesion and coordination and resolve issues.
Interface professionally with stakeholders and translate complex technical terminology for non-technical audiences.
