About The Position

CGI is seeking a Senior SAP PPS Functional Consultant with experience in SAP SRM or Ariba Procurement for the Public Sector (PPS) module. The consultant will work closely with clients on Request to Procure (R2P) and Procure to Pay (P2P) processes in the federal government, leading workshops, gathering requirements, designing and presenting solutions, configuring SAP, and supporting full lifecycle implementations. The role focuses on design, configuration, and testing in SAP PPS, with opportunities to mentor an agile team. A strong understanding of SAP Federal Financial Accounting processes is required. The position is based in CGI’s Fairfax, Virginia office and follows a hybrid model, requiring at least two days per week in the office. U.S. citizenship is required, along with successful completion of a CGI background check before starting. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
Successful completion of a CGI background check before beginning work.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 6 years of SAP consulting experience in materials management or procurement.
Expertise in financial management best practices, including demonstrations, test scripts, and design documentation.
Strong experience with PPS configuration and implementation.
Knowledge of federal procurement processes, including FAR, request packages, and requisition types.
Understanding of key SAP module integration points.
Excellent teamwork, facilitation, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and organizational abilities.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
Experience with end-to-end SAP implementations.
SAP S/4HANA certification.
Integration experience with SAP MM, SRM, PS, and FM.

Responsibilities

Lead requirements gathering, solution design, and SAP PPS configuration to improve business functionality and client satisfaction.
Facilitate workshops and translate business requirements into system requirements.
Identify gaps, issues, and workarounds across financial management, procurement, and asset management.
Serve as the client liaison for troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving software issues, and recommend product modifications when needed.
Design, configure, and test PPS in SAP S/4HANA to support R2P and P2P teams.
Create Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and support Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and future-state process designs.
Provide functional expertise and guidance throughout SAP S/4HANA implementation.
