SAP PP Senior Consultant
About The Position
The SAP PP Senior Consultant will lead manufacturing transformation initiatives, design scalable SAP production planning solutions, drive SAP S/4HANA adoption, and work with business stakeholders to optimize planning and manufacturing processes in global enterprise environments. The role combines functional expertise, consulting skills, and leadership to deliver complex SAP programs. The consultant will analyze manufacturing requirements, conduct workshops and fit-gap assessments, and design and implement SAP PP solutions. Responsibilities include configuring and supporting production planning capabilities, leading implementation from blueprint through go-live and hypercare, contributing to global template design, and supporting localization requirements. The role also leads or supports SAP ECC-to-S/4HANA transformations and manufacturing process migrations, including configuration and optimization of S/4HANA planning capabilities. The position works across SAP modules and business functions to support integration and end-to-end testing. It also leads PP workstreams, manages deliverables and stakeholder expectations, mentors junior consultants, coordinates onshore and offshore teams, and supports governance, risk management, and issue resolution. Requirements
- 12+ years of SAP PP consulting experience.
- At least 4 end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
- Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing and Production Planning.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing industry processes.
- Expertise in production planning, scheduling, procurement planning, and manufacturing execution.
- Strong experience in master data management, including BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, and Production Versions.
- Experience in global delivery and multi-country implementations.
- Strong client-facing consulting and stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with global teams and senior leadership.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong documentation and business process mapping capabilities.
Nice To Haves
- SAP PP Certification.
- Experience with SAP PP/DS, SAP IBP, SAP Digital Manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Experience in Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, or Process Industry sectors.
- Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and Agile project delivery.
- Exposure to cloud-based SAP solutions and SAP BTP.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex manufacturing business requirements.
- Conduct workshops, fit-gap analysis, and business process assessments.
- Design and implement best-practice SAP PP solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Advise stakeholders on process optimization and digital manufacturing strategies.
- Provide recommendations for planning and production processes.
- Configure and support SAP PP capabilities, including Demand Management, Sales & Operations Planning, MRP, MPS, Capacity Planning, Production Orders, Process Orders, Shop Floor Control, Batch Management, Production Execution, Repetitive Manufacturing, Work Centers, Routings, and Bills of Materials.
- Lead implementation activities from blueprint through go-live and hypercare support.
- Participate in global template design and localization requirements.
- Lead SAP ECC-to-SAP S/4HANA transformation projects and support migration of manufacturing processes to SAP S/4HANA.
- Configure and optimize MRP Live, Advanced ATP, Embedded Analytics, Fiori Applications, Production Planning for S/4HANA, and PP/DS Integration.
- Drive adoption of SAP best practices and simplification items.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure integration with SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP QM, SAP EWM, SAP PM, SAP FI/CO, SAP APO/IBP, and SAP TM.
- Coordinate end-to-end business process testing across modules.
- Lead PP workstreams within large-scale SAP transformation programs.
- Manage project deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
- Mentor junior consultants and provide technical guidance.
- Coordinate offshore and onshore teams during implementation activities.
- Support project governance, risk management, and issue resolution.
