SAP Plan to Stock (P2S) Functional Consultant
About The Position
The Plan to Stock (P2S) Functional Consultant supports the analysis, design, and implementation of S/4HANA Plan-to-Stock business processes within an Agile team. The role translates federal supply chain and inventory requirements into functional S/4HANA configurations and supports integration across Production Planning (PP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and Inventory Management (IM). It also performs detailed system analysis to integrate demand planning, stock movements, and material valuations with the General Ledger and federal accountability standards. The consultant contributes to requirements and design activities, configures planning and inventory processes, supports integration with finance and other workstreams, and works with technical teams on enhancements, interfaces, and reports. The position also supports testing, data migration, deployment, and post-go-live hypercare for warehouse and planning personnel. The role requires US citizenship without dual citizenship, eligibility for a government Secret Clearance, and willingness to travel up to 25%.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience with SAP Production Planning (PP) or Materials Management (MM), with a focus on Inventory Management.
- Experience configuring SAP for MRP, Stock Transfers, and Material Valuation.
- US citizenship with no dual citizenship.
- Eligibility for a government Secret Clearance.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of federal-specific inventory requirements, such as government-furnished property (GFP) tracking or federal asset accountability regulations.
- Ability to execute Fit-to-Standard analysis and translate legacy inventory spreadsheets into functional S/4HANA requirements.
- Familiarity with federal audit standards related to inventory accuracy and internal control frameworks for supply chain management.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Responsibilities
- Translate supply chain business requirements into S/4HANA P2S processes; contribute to design workshops and document functional specifications for MRP and demand forecasting.
- Configure Plants, Storage Locations, and MRP Controllers, and assist with material master data views for federal logistics and stocking.
- Configure Inventory Management, including movement types, physical inventory processes, and stock transfer orders (STOs).
- Support synchronization between Inventory Management and Finance (FI/CO), ensuring accurate material valuation and alignment of stock-related transactions with the Universal Journal (ACDOCA).
- Provide functional insights to ABAP Developers, BASIS, and Middleware counterparts on planning enhancements, warehouse interfaces such as EWM, and federal inventory reports.
- Write and execute Unit, System Integration (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts, documenting results for scenarios including MRP runs, stock adjustments, and period-end inventory reconciliation.
- Support mapping integration points between P2S and other workstreams, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P) for stock replenishment and Budget-to-Report (B2R) for inventory financial reporting.
- Perform deployment activities, including material master data cleansing, legacy stock balance migration, and post-go-live hypercare for warehouse and planning personnel.
