SAP Master Data Solution Specialist
About The Position
The SAP Master Data Solution Specialist will join the SAP S/4HANA Cloud team at an established global manufacturer of high-performance RF and microwave components, modules, and subsystems. The role owns the design and configuration of master data solutions and the governance that keeps data reliable across finance, supply chain, and sales processes. The specialist will lead and contribute to SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementation work, apply SAP Activate methodology through the project lifecycle, translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs, and configure master data. The role also involves stakeholder workshops, training and change management, testing, issue resolution, post-go-live support, and continuous improvement. The position is based in Long Island, New York.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Data Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of SAP master data management implementation and support experience, including at least 2 years on SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Activate and Agile delivery.
- Strong understanding of data quality, data governance, and the master data lifecycle.
- Ability to work across many stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with clear communication and presentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with SAP Fiori apps and embedded analytics.
- SAP master data or S/4HANA certification, described as highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementation work, owning master data management configuration and best practices.
- Apply the SAP Activate methodology across the discover, prepare, explore, realize, deploy, and run phases.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs for master data governance.
- Configure material, customer, supplier, business partner, and financial master data.
- Ensure data consistency across MM, SD, FI, and EWM.
- Run workshops with business stakeholders and support user training and change management.
- Support unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Resolve complex issues, provide post-go-live support, and drive continuous improvement.
- Enforce data governance standards and policies across master data solutions.
- Stay current on new S/4HANA capabilities and industry best practices.
