About The Position

CTG is seeking an SAP Basis & HANA Administrator for a client in Chicago, Illinois, for an eight-month engagement. The role administers, configures, installs, maintains, and optimizes SAP Basis and SAP HANA environments, supporting enterprise systems and SAP cloud and data migration initiatives. The administrator monitors systems, troubleshoots and resolves technical issues, performs performance tuning and routine maintenance, and manages security, users, transports, clients, system availability, refreshes, and environments. The position works with clients and functional, database, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements, resolve issues, provide technical guidance, and recommend SAP HANA best practices. It also develops technical documentation and keeps current with SAP technologies and industry practices. The preferred education is a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant SAP Basis or SAP HANA certifications are desirable. Excellent spoken and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary is $74.00 to $83.00 per hour, and a competitive benefits package is offered.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of SAP Basis administration, SAP HANA, and SAP S/4HANA.
Experience with SAP ECC, BW, SCM, CRM, SRM, and HCM environments.
Knowledge of SQL, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP LT, and SAP ASE.
Expertise in SAP system monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, security, and system maintenance.
Understanding of SAP architecture, data modeling, high availability, scalability, and cloud migration.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
Ability to collaborate across technical and functional teams and provide technical guidance.
Demonstrated experience administering SAP Basis and SAP HANA systems in complex enterprise environments.
Experience designing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing SAP HANA landscapes.
Experience supporting SAP upgrades, patches, kernel updates, transports, system refreshes, and incident resolution.
Experience with SAP data migration tools, cloud migration initiatives, and SAP system integrations.
Experience providing client-facing technical leadership, gathering requirements, and recommending SAP best practices.
Ability to manage multiple technical priorities and maintain clear documentation.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Relevant SAP Basis or SAP HANA certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

Administer, configure, install, and maintain SAP Basis and SAP HANA environments.
Design, implement, and optimize SAP HANA landscapes for high availability, scalability, and performance.
Monitor SAP systems, troubleshoot technical issues, perform performance tuning, and resolve incidents.
Manage SAP security, user administration, system availability, transports, client administration, system refreshes, and environment management.
Perform SAP system upgrades, patching, kernel updates, and routine maintenance.
Support SAP cloud migration initiatives and data migrations from various sources using tools such as SAP Data Services and SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT).
Collaborate with clients and functional, database, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements, resolve issues, and recommend SAP HANA best practices.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge resources.
Stay current with SAP technologies, product updates, and industry best practices.
