About The Position

NCDIT-T EBS is seeking an expert SAP System Administrator to serve as the SAP HANA subject matter expert for the enterprise SAP landscape supporting the systems of record for NCDOT and NCDMV. The contractor will administer and support more than 100 production and non-production SAP HANA databases and provide SAP Basis expertise across EBS’s SAP products. The role coordinates and implements technical changes, patches, and upgrades; participates in the duty manager on-call rotation and daily system checks; and supports the ongoing migration of the EBS landscape to SAP NS2 (S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition). The position is hybrid/local in Raleigh, North Carolina, and candidates must currently live in North Carolina. The stated duration is 12 months.

Requirements

At least 5 years of SAP HANA database administration experience, including installation, configuration, patching, tuning, backup and recovery, and System Replication across production and non-production environments.
At least 8 years of SAP NetWeaver Basis administration experience on ABAP and Java stacks, including transports, kernel and SPS updates, system copies, and performance troubleshooting.
At least 5 years of enterprise SAP operations experience at scale, including a 24×7 on-call/duty manager rotation, daily system checks, and incident and problem management in Solution Manager.
Must currently live in North Carolina.
Deep hands-on SAP HANA administration experience at enterprise scale, including System Replication, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and upgrade and migration work.
Broad SAP NetWeaver Basis administration experience across ABAP and Java stacks.
Comfort owning production availability in a large, heavily integrated public-sector landscape.

Nice To Haves

At least 3 years of SAP OS/DB migration, upgrade, or S/4HANA conversion experience, including migration of SAP landscapes to cloud hosting such as SAP RISE or SAP NS2.
At least 2 years of SAP landscape administration on AWS or a comparable public cloud, including networking, storage, and backup integration.
SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA (e.g., C_HANATEC) or equivalent HANA certification.
SAP Certified Technology Associate – System Administration (SAP NetWeaver / OS-DB).
Experience with SAP RISE, SAP NS2, or S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition migrations.
Experience with SAP Solution Manager technical monitoring or ChaRM, and/or SAP Focused Run.
Experience running SAP landscapes on AWS, including AWS GovCloud.
Experience supporting SAP in a public-sector or FedRAMP/GovRAMP-regulated environment.
Experience with SAP integration to OpenText document management.
Experience with SAP BW on HANA, SAP CRM, GRC/Access Control, or Enterprise Portal.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise across SAP products used by EBS.
Serve as the HANA subject matter expert for more than 100 databases.
Coordinate and implement technical changes and enhancements to SAP systems.
Provide operational support in the duty manager on-call rotation.
Perform morning system checks and report system status.
Serve as the assigned Basis liaison for EBS Solution Manager problem messages.
Execute HANA System Replication, refreshes, and system copies to support migration to SAP NS2.
Apply HANA revisions, SAP kernel updates, and support package stacks across the S/D/Q/P landscape.
Monitor database performance and capacity and remediate issues before they affect availability.
Administer SAP HANA databases, including installation, configuration, patching, tuning, backup, and recovery.
Administer SAP NetWeaver Basis on ABAP and Java stacks, including transports, kernel and SPS updates, system copies, and performance troubleshooting.
Support SAP OS/DB migration, upgrades, or S/4HANA conversion work, including migrations to cloud hosting such as SAP RISE or SAP NS2.
Support SAP landscapes on AWS or comparable public cloud, including networking, storage, and backup integration.
Participate in enterprise SAP operations, including daily system checks and incident and problem management in Solution Manager.
